Disaster Recovery Analyst implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Analyst identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Analyst confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Disaster Recovery Business Analyst to join our team.
    This role is an integral part of our Disaster Recovery team. As a Disaster Recovery Business Analyst, you will assist with the management and oversight of multiple agency Disaster Recovery Services projects. Your efforts will focus on planning, implementing, and testing to ensure strategic goals are achieved.

    Responsibilities of Disaster Recovery Business Analyst:
    • You will assist with the development and oversight of state agency disaster recovery business impact analyses, gathering information needed to plan and implement agency disaster recovery services. 
    • You will perform agency consultations to develop disaster recovery plans and work-flows by analyzing business and technical requirements for the agency. 
    • You will recommend disaster recovery solutions and coordinate activities with disaster recovery service vendors. You will serve on project teams as a subject matter expert for disaster recovery planning. 
    • You will perform technical support and system administration for disaster recovery planning software tools. You will perform quality control on agency use of disaster recovery planning software tools. 
    • You will collect and maintain report data for service level agreements and metrics for state agencies and disaster recovery service contractors. you will assist with Disaster Recovery Program documentation updates.
    • You will provide input to and act as a resource for the development, implementation, maintenance, and dissemination of standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines related to disaster recovery. 
    • You will stay abreast of disaster recovery business analysis methodologies and technology to ensure the State continues to utilize the most appropriate disaster recovery architecture, equipment, and services. 
    • You will perform other related duties as required or needed. This position is considered essential, especially during emergency or weather-related events. 
    Minimum Requirements:
    • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems (IS), or another relevant academic discipline. 
    • Four or more years of professional experience in disaster recovery services. 
    • Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

    Additional Requirements:
    • Knowledge of disaster recovery industry standards and developing technologies. 
    • Demonstrated ability analyzing, designing, configuring, and supporting successful disaster recovery plans and work-flow. 
    • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks. 
    • Proven record of managing multiple projects, operating in a project management framework, developing positive customer relationships, and successfully meeting budget and timeline objectives. 
    • Ability to guide agency business and technical groups to ensure successful disaster recovery services planning for the agency. 
    • A demonstrated ability to gain consensus among many stakeholders. 
    • Well-developed problem solving and analytical troubleshooting skills. 
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Able to meet/obtain compliance requirements as necessary.
