Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the implementation, design and education of the specialty programs within the skilled nursing facilities, specifiaclly substance abuse and recovery programs. This position must be able to communicate effectively to the acute care hospitals and other external resources with the assistance of the VP of Business Development and Communications.  You must be able to work with the care centers to develop and assist them in designing programs that are needed based on the partnerships and collaborations with the external sources.  You must be able to manage multiple projects and work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment.  Must be knowledgeable of clinical and recovery programming in the skilled nursing and long-term care environment. Must be able to speak and write the English language and have a working understanding of financial statements. Must have working knowledge (experience preferred) with various software programs such as WORD, EXCEL, POWEREPOINT, and PUBLISHER

     

    Responsibilities:

    Ensure that the facilities and staff that are in charge of the programs are providing education and implementing the programs as designed.

    Provide training and support to the facilities that are running recovery programs.

    Provide back-up support during vacancies.

    Provide quarterly status reports to the senior leadership positions.

    Contribute to the process of building resident census among recovery programs through outreach, quality initiatives and by creating value.

    In collaboration with care facility administration, create, present and execute annual or periodic comprehensive strategic plans for recovery programs.

    Standardization of program activities, policies and procedures to create a consistent and uniform resident experience and clinical outcome. 

    Ensure that specialty programs are well positioned and competitive in the marketplace using objective benchmarks and seek out best practices, peer models and existing programs from which to learn and grow. 

    Consult on the creation of program materials such as brochures, clinical outcome reports, website content and more. 

    Raise the profile and improve the image of recovery programs and iCare Health Network as a provider of care to complex and challenging populations through symposia, learning sessions, presentations and other reputation building activities. 

    Outreach to ancillary service providers, physician and medical consultants, technology and equipment providers. 

    Provided frequent on-site support within the care centers and conduct regularly scheduled clinical program meetings. 

    Consult on the admission process and criteria as it applies to recovery programs as well as the admission of specific residents into these programs. 

    Review and perform root cause analysis on positive and negative resident outcomes within programs and then create and deploy interventions to address as appropriate. 

    Work collaboratively with the corporate clinical operations team and the center nursing team to create dynamic, reproducible, high quality and innovative clinical pathways, treatments and modalities.

    All other duties as assigned.

     

     

    Qualifications:

    Working knowledge of various software programs.

    Must have experience in long term care settings.

    Must be highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Physical Therapy, Public Health or Health Sciences, BSN, MSN or MSW
