An individual in this position provides general assistance to the Supervisor of the Food and Nutrition Services Program by performing the following duties:
Job Summary
This position involves assistive professional and administrative work with planning, implementing, and coordinating school nutrition services. Work is performed under the Supervisor of Food and Nutrition Services. Individual will assist with the supervision of all food services staff and the operations of the food service cafeterias.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required)
Prior management experience in school nutrition preferred. SERV safe Manager Certification and SERV safe Food Handler Certification is required. SNS credentials shortly after hire. Possession of a valid driver’s license. High School Diploma or a GED is required. Must obtain any certifications required of division or Commonwealth of Virginia.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone; physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds; and to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead. Must be able to perform basic budgeting and accounting procedures. Knowledge of basic purchasing and inventory of materials is required.
