LifeCenter, a non-profit organ procurement organization, is looking to fill a primary position of a Full Time Donation Coordinator.  Our Donation Coordinators are responsible for taking referral calls on potential organ donors and then performing the clinical evaluation and medical management during the donation process.  This role is significant in fulfilling our mission of saving, healing and changing lives through organ donation.  
 

This individual must be able to work in an environment where decision making is crucial and often done in times of high stress.
 

This position is rewarding as much as it is demanding.  It requires at times for the individual to be on call for 24 hours.  We do offer Guaranteed Hours during periods of low activity.

If you have critical care experience or experience as a paramedic, nurse or respiratory therapist, this may just the position for you.

Requirements

This position requires;

• A thorough understanding of  Anatomy & Physiology
• Medically manage all organs of a potential donor
• Attention to detail in chart  documentation
• Coordinates import organs for transplantation
• Educate hospital staff on organ donation
• Must have reliable transportation to respond to a hospital call within 60 minutes of the call
