EEG Technician jobs in Wisconsin
EEG Technician performs electroencephalograms in accordance with established practices and procedures. Attaches electrodes to the patient. Being an EEG Technician records impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of brain disorders. Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies neurologist of results of examinations. Additionally, EEG Technician consults with neurologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EEG Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be an EEG Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

- Assist with scheduling and setup of of home sleep studies
- Complete clerical functions for Sleep and EEG, as assigned
Required:
- Graduate of an AMA approved program in EEG
- CPR within 90 days of hire
Preferred:
- R EEGT credential from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET)
- Previous experience and knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology and digital recording systems
