Developing, establishing, and maintaining Agency-wide Equal Employment policies, programs, regulations, requirements, procedures, standards, and philosophy to meet Agency mission needs within the context of appropriate laws.
Developing, reviewing, and analyzing new procedures, policies, and guidelines for use throughout the agency, such as policies and guidelines for diversity and special emphasis programs. For instance, prepares, coordinates, the agency?s annual affirmative action plan; and ensures that the plan complies with Federal regulations and agency EEO policies.
Operational planning and management of EEO functions and records/files assigned to the EEO Office
Special visits to divisional offices to evaluate and resolve complex EEO problems (2 days a week minimum requirement at Agency HQ)
Serve as the Lead Special Emphasis Program Manager (SEPM)
Coordinate communication with IT for virtual and non-virtual events.
Prepares invitation letters for guest speakers/panel members.
Ensures communications are updated on EEO Gathering Events webpage.
Prepares Playbook with summary of speakers and program information/additional resources.
Writes Newsletters on required Observances in absence of SEP Events
Provide Liaison services for the EEO office.
EEO Operations Management to include but not limited to establishing and leading the Barrier Analysis Working Group(s) (MD-175) such as:
Generating solicitation letters and its dissemination to Management
Scheduling and coordination Group meetings and SEPM Observances
Generating and disseminating Barrier Analysis Training Materials (Slides)
Facilitate Group meetings for SEPM Observances and update EEO Special Emphasis Gathering Events calendar on agency shared drive.
