Job Summary:
The EHR (electronic health record) Site Specialist supports the creation of effective learning experiences that drive the best practice use of the EHR. Responds to end-user's immediate needs for assistance in using the EHR. Provides day-to-day support functions including rapid response and problem resolution, identifying critical learning needs, and developing learning interventions to address. Provides direct end-user support, partnering with IT and EHR build teams to ensure seamless and high-quality resolution to end-user EHR challenges. Develops and executes educational solutions that utilize sound instructional strategies and incorporate adult learning principles. Provides high value learning experiences that are aligned with business objectives and quality outcomes. Works with clinical and operational leaders, as well as other educational team members, to identify key learning needs and opportunities to create learning experiences that promote quality care and excellent patient experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree AND 2 years of directly related experience, OR; Associate's degree AND 3 years of directly related systems experience, OR; High school diploma AND 6 years of directly related experience. Experience in adult education and healthcare setting preferred.

Other:
Deliver assigned EHR training in accordance with onboarding and access management requirements. Receive, evaluate, and prioritize EHR requests for assistance or issue resolution. Utilize established procedures and experience to determine the nature of the problem and provide solution to customer in a timely and accurate manner. Use established procedures and tools to help end-users use the EHR more effectively. Utilize knowledge base learning, recognition, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine end-user problems. Interact with vendors and IT support personnel in troubleshooting and solving problems and issues in a timely and accurate manner. Diagnose learning needs and identify support resources. Provide one on one support and design learning interventions as needed. Maintain detailed records on client work including communication transactions, problems, remedial actions taken, and issue resolution. Create ad hoc learning topics, helpful hints, and efficiency tips associated to identified system trends. Identify possible issues with systems and present improvement opportunities. Create and update support knowledge base. Round in their assigned facility including occasional shifts outside of normal business hours. Possess detailed understanding of workflows and system configuration. Communicate and advocate best practice use of the EHR. Work with EHR end-users to maintain and support clinical systems that drive hospital operations. Support safe, effective patient care, and processes suitable for computer applications.
