Being an Electroencephalograph Technologist requires an associate degree in related area. Requires certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologies. Additionally, Electroencephalograph Technologist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Electroencephalograph Technologist independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
•High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
•Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology program required.
•Specific knowledge of surgical procedures within the operating room (OR), in addition to knowledge of surgical procedures, practices and techniques in providing patient care and assisting surgeons in the O.R.
•Minimum of three years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES:
•Current BLS certification required.
•Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
