Electronic Data Interchange Specialist analyzes, designs, and develops specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and maps. Ensures proper configuration and set-up of the EDI tools and systems that support file transfer between internal and external trading partners. Being an Electronic Data Interchange Specialist coordinates trading partner implementations and conducts EDI testing. Documents processes, data flow, file specifications, and mapping using standard formats. Additionally, Electronic Data Interchange Specialist may require a bachelor's degree. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
Provides service and resolution to members and Credit Union personnel regarding the Credit Union's electronic banking products and services. This includes online/mobile banking, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), online account opening, bill pay, Person to Person (P2P), and support for all other digital products and services the Credit Union offers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Answers questions, performs research, and provides timely information to internal customers and members regarding electronic and remote services.
Assists customers and business members regarding online and mobile banking needs. Troubleshoots log in issues, password resets, RDC, Bill Pay, P2P questions, etc.
Assists members in the account opening and application process. Perform follow up with members and internal customers as necessary.
Acts as subject matter expert within all related applications and platforms (front-facing and back-end) such as: online/mobile banking, bill pay, Zelle, RDC, online account opening, etc.
Participates and tests in various releases to support updates with remote and digital applications. User and expert of the Credit Union's electronic products to better assist the Credit Union's members as well as ensure application functionality is working appropriately.
Researches and identifies various digital/electronic trends to provide recommendations on products and or services. Evaluates reports within various systems and provide analysis.
Maintains a positive and caring atmosphere for members and employees consistent with the Credit Union's mission and philosophy.
Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established by Sandia Area Federal Credit Union and federal and state legal and regulatory guidelines, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA} and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC}, as applicable to this position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED
Minimum two years financial institution experience required with progressive responsibilities in operations procedures.
General knowledge of credit unions may be desirable.
