    We’re looking for an Executive Communications Lead for several key teams including CEO, Technology/Product, and Strategy. This person should have a passion for excellence, raising the bar, and taking performance to the next level. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, collaborative, driven, and highly skilled communicator to advance these critical executive staff’s communications efforts. This leader should have demonstrated success in both internal and external communications, corporate communications, as well as C-level communications. This leader will have a deep understanding of executive-level communications, business priorities, and the semiconductor industry.

    They will be responsible for these executives’ communication strategy and content building as well as brand internally and externally. This leader will be responsible for building and managing a world-class communications team that will create and execute a communication, content and event strategy. The communications efforts should be designed to support the business and success of the function while informing, engaging, and inspiring employees and positioning Lam as an industry thought leader.

    This team will provide strategic executive communications support on high-impact, reputation-building assets and communications programs. We are looking for a person willing to take a hands-on approach, who excels both at supporting and developing a team, while executing on key communications tactics. This leader will be the driving force behind the planning and execution of our executive communications strategies and will have the opportunity to shape the narrative.

    What You’ll Do

    Executive communications

    • Create and execute an internal and external communications strategy that articulates our executives’ vision and builds their brand as a thought leader.
    • Define and manage executive communications tactics, channels, messages, and audiences for highest impact and efficient use of time.
    • Craft impactful content that will engage, inspire, and inform the employee audience and position Lam as an innovation leader externally.
    • Provide communication counsel to the executives and manage tactical execution of communications initiatives.
    • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communications and events, updating and optimizing them as needed.
    • Implement processes that drive long-term planning, high-quality content gathering, and rigorous execution.

    Setting Strategy

    • Formulate strategic plans based on insights/research/analysis and translate those into measurable objectives, strategies, and action that helps the business achieve its goals.
    • Lead and oversee the re-imagination and transformation of how we engage with our ~10,000-person technical community so that this critical audience is well-informed on the vision, strategy, and key priorities and is highly motivated to execute to them.
    • Inspire confidence and build strong and effective relationships with members of the executive leadership team to gain a deep understanding of their business needs and provide strategic communications counsel and coaching.

    Leading and building teams

    • Lead a team in the development and execution of effective communications plans, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
    • Oversee the day-to-day activities including budgeting, planning and team development.
    Who We’re Looking For
    • Demonstrated success in creating keynote presentations, speeches, and talking points.
    • Create a narrative and messaging framework.
    • Distill complex technology and business issues to create engaging and informative content tailed to diverse audiences.
    • Possess clear business acumen, understanding how to manage and proactively drive corporate communications in a fast-moving and highly scrutinized industry.
    • Ability to move fast and demonstrated leadership to inspire a team to get things done in a rapidly changing environment, with proven experience driving complex projects from start to finish.
    • Agile, understands urgency, is a quick decision-maker, and can synthesize through multiple pieces of information to prioritize importance. Exercising excellent judgment and demonstrating the ability to advise senior executives on fast-moving, complex and at times sensitive communications topics is critical.
    • High degree of integrity and forethought in their approach to making decisions; the ability to act in a transparent and consistent manner while always taking into account what is best for the organization; and demonstrates the ability to learn and improve.
    • Leads by example and drives the organization's performance with an attitude of continuous improvement by being open to feedback and self-improvement.
    • Strong communication and presentation ability, leveraging insights and experience to articulate strategy and coach/influence executives in communicating to both internal and external audiences.
    • Understand how to balance strategy and business acumen to best invest resources and maximize impact.
    • Work without significant oversight and follow through to impactful execution.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Minimum 15 years of previous corporate communications experience within multi-national public companies
    • Supported a CEO or C-level leader
    • Experience working in highly complex technology industry; experience in the semiconductor industry experience
    • Ability to travel up 25%

    CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $147,000 - $311,000

    The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
