Employee Housing Supervisor
The Employee Housing Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of Employee Housing hourly staff, supplies procurement for the Housing Department, and facilities management.
Employee Housing Supervisor essential duties and responsibilities (Additional duties may be assigned):
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and overseeing scheduling for housing office and housing cleaning crew staff.
- Work with Cleaning Crew Supervisors to ensure all facilities are cleaned as needed.
- Supervise Covid-19 processes in Employee Housing to maximize health and safety.
- Maintain department spreadsheets and database of units.
- Supervise the cleanliness and move-in ready status for all employee housing units.
- Maintain the Employee Housing website and housing questionnaire to determine housing preferences.
- Maintain flow from the Housing website through to move-in communication and emails. Ensure the move-in email is always accurate and up to date.
- Supervise all department processes, including but not limited to check-ins, check-outs, the orientation of new employees to housing facilities, room assignments, room transfers, resident events, resident culture, signage, ordering of supplies, maintenance inspections, room inspections, move-out inspections, resident needs, costs of units, vending operations, and the creation of department forms as needed.
- Communicate any housing conduct issues with the appropriate manager and HR Director.
- Follow through with corrective action(s) for residents, including evictions if needed.
- Maintain inventory of furniture and supplies in Employee Housing storage areas.
- Update furniture as needed and appropriate.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections.
- Report and follow up on major and minor maintenance or repair issues.
- Communicate with Sun Valley Security to provide and receive pertinent information.
- Manage and sign off on biweekly staff time cards.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration with the Human Resources department to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Maintain housing occupancy calculations.
- Ensure Housing tours are operating and informative.
- Ensuring event operations are set up in advance, budgeted, advertised, and bring to the Housing Manager for final approval at the start of each month.
- Coordinates seasonal projects such as the end-of-season cleanout
- Ensure physical inspections of all housing properties.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises Cleaning Crew Supervisors, Employee Housing Coordinators, and appropriate seasonal staff.
- Directly supervise living conditions and requirements for 300-600 employees.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include coordinating the registration, matriculation, and departure of employees and maintaining the order of employee housing and company property.
Employee Housing Supervisor Qualifications:

- College degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
- A firm grasp of the English language--the ability to read, write and speak--is mandatory.
- Possesses the ability to speak and write with grammatical correctness; ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and operate a motor vehicle safely.
- Employee must be able to operate a computer and be proficient with basic operating systems and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
