    Our Director, of Employee Engagement opportunity in Human Resources, will lead programs and resources to promote employee engagement and connection between our company offerings and employees. They will lead benefits, compensation, HRIS systems, HR compliance, performance management, policy and procedure and HR data analytics. This role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer, and is based out of the Home Office in Lewiston, Maine.

    What You'll Do
    • Foster and promote a strong culture that aligns with our company values (integrity, compassion, excellence, innovation, and community), emphasizing continuous improvement and employee engagement.
    • Collaborate with business partners to deliver solutions that propel the Company forward.
    • Lead employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, HR policies and procedures, and compliance.
    • Advise leadership on new ideas and winning practices in the areas of assessment, development, compensation, organizational effectiveness, strategy, on-boarding, change management and communications
    • Coach and mentor people leaders
    • Create and implement ambitious people strategies
    • Implement new approaches to connect employees to human resources services and resources
    • Participate in the development and implementation of competitive total rewards (compensation and benefits) packages.
    • Manage relationships with benefits vendors, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality services
    • Coordinate HR and IT teams for updates and upgrades to products and systems and, when necessary, issue resolution
    • Coordinate health, life, and disability insurance enrollments and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration of programs
    • Manage and coordinate with the benefit advisor and third-party administrator the open enrollment process; communicate to employees on benefit offerings ; ensure HRIS is set up correctly and accurately
    • Assure compliance with COBRA guidelines with the COBRA administrative partner
    • Ensure consistent and equitable application of HR practices and procedures and partner with leaders on all aspects of leadership and employee relations
    • Develop human resources solutions and solve people related business challenges by collecting and analyzing data, and recommending courses of action
    • Serve as the HR lead on key business projects

    What You'll Bring
    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related degree
    • 4 years of human resources experience, with a focus on benefits and compensation
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use and interpret data to both guide and validate decisions
    • Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organization design and compensation philosophies.
    • Results orientation with the ability to quickly identify problems and use initiative and sound judgment to drive solutions to complex people issues.
    • Keen ability to quickly establish credibility and effective business partnerships with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Demonstrated optimism and relentless problem solving, with a strong sense of empathy
    • Ability to maintain an upbeat, positive environment that inspires a sense of urgency, constant innovation, teamwork, and strong commitment to individual and team accountability.
