We are seeking candidates with relevant workplace compliance experience who can properly fill and develop this role while promoting best practices for preserving a positive and compliant workplace culture for a dynamic growing company. Candidates who understand current employment laws and can partner with Clayco executives to implement and maintain best practices for a positive and compliant workplace culture will be most successful.

    A successful candidate will assist Clayco in a dynamic, rapid growth environment as a liaison between employees, management, and executive leadership, providing day-to-day operational support and compliance assistance consistent with Claycos workplace culture.

    Specific Responsibilities:
    • Assists with handling employee relations complaints or concerns, as requested, analyze relevant compliance issues, including potential violations of applicable law and/or Clayco workplace conduct policy and report as directed to Executive Management, which may include promptly advising Claycos Office of the General Counsel and assisting in confidential investigations.
    • Provide support to Talent Management Executives and/or General Counsel as requested and/or as necessary to ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment regulations.
    • Review and maintain employment materials in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, including but not limited to employee hand-books, job postings and job boards for all Clayco offices
    • Assist as directed by Talent Management Executive with matters related to employee hiring, retention, promotion, discipline, and termination/separation.
    • Assist with ensuring job descriptions are up to date and compliant.
    • Assist with compliant employee onboarding including offer letters and implementation of trainings
    • Ability to work with executive leadership and senior management to understand business objectives and implement compliant internal policies and procedures as may be needed.
    • Conducts exit interviews, as needed, summarizes findings and discusses trends and concerns with executive leadership and/or senior management.
    • Provides insight to management around methods and approaches to consistently measuring or improving employee work performance and/or organizational effectiveness.
    • Assists with performance reviews and goal setting process as requested.
    • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to ensure lawful workplace policies are applied consistently
    • Handle confidential material and information as needed to assist Talent Management Executives and/or General Counsel
    • Maintains knowledge of relevant regulatory changes in multiple states where the Company maintains its principal offices and operations
    • Keeps critical lines of communication open
    • Implement and/or monitor systems and processes for relevant compliance tracking purposes
    • Performs other duties as assigned or necessary.

    • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
    • Working knowledge of relevant compliance laws and regulations.

    • Ability to monitor compliance as necessary with appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations and policies.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other related software platforms
    Education Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related major preferred
    • Five or more years of relevant experience required.
    • PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP credential preferred.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Normal office work environment.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
    • Ability to travel for business on occasion to other Clayco offices throughout US
