Employee Relations Manager designs, plans, and implements a company's employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. Maintains good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote employee satisfaction. Being an Employee Relations Manager guides department managers and employees throughout the performance management and goal setting process. Identifies and analyzes issues with employee relations infractions. Additionally, Employee Relations Manager provides recommendations for resolutions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Employee Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Employee Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     To provide administrative support, answer phones, order supplies, and provide clerical support for the Employee Relations Manager and Associate Director.

    Under limited supervision, perform a wide variety of office tasks requiring general knowledge of policies, procedures and systems. Exercise limited discretion in determining priority/order of completion of work assignments.

    Process unemployment claims and leaves of absence, assist with worker compensation claims, process bills, enter data in various reports to include SAP and ESS, assists with new employee orientation and performs other clerical duties as requested. Assist with training and development sessions.
