Director of Enrollment
Location: Austin Christian University
Reports To: EVP of Student Life & Recruitment
Summary of Role
The Director of Enrollment is responsible for managing the process of getting new students into the university. This includes research and cooperating with the Executive Vice President of Student Life to develop an effective recruiting process. Using data and strategies, the goal is to attract high-quality students and retain them. The Director of Enrollment will also assist with key student life functions at Austin Christian University.
Position Status & Schedule
- Exempt, Salary
- Full-time (40 hours)
- Monday through Friday: hours vary per week depending on scheduled Austin Christian events; may include weekends and evenings
- Christmas, Easter and Dream Team Appreciation service dates and times are black out days for time off. Other ACU events may be required for this position outside of your normal schedule, you will be informed in advance of any of these requirements.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a recruitment and enrollment strategy and process to attract prospective students to the University.
- Create and manage a comprehensive admissions process that is transparent, efficient, and effective in bringing in a diverse range of qualified students.
- Evaluate student applications and collaborate with the admissions committee to make decisions that are consistent with university policies, procedures, and culture.
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance to understand marketable and effective financial aid programs
- Use data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of enrollment strategies and adjust them as needed.
- Collaborate with ACU teams to create positive student experiences, including key student life functions.
- Oversee and train a team of admissions counselors and staff to meet enrollment goals.
- Responsible for overseeing Preview Days at the University and responsible for generating attendance at Preview Days of prospective students and parents.
- Work with University Leadership to develop enrollment goals and strategies to achieve those goals.
- Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in enrollment management, including technology and marketing, to remain competitive.
- Assist in developing the dream team for your respective area within Austin Christian University.
- Assist with tasks and meetings for enrollment in Austin Christian University.
- Order, issue, and maintain department supplies, forms, and equipment.
- Maintain and monitor the department calendar.
- Record and publish the minutes of any Department Meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the EVP of SL&R
- Willingness to work after set hours or on the weekend when necessary.

- Represent Austin Christian University with excellence in interactions with visitors, guests, and vendors in person, over the phone, or through email communication.
- Welcome campus in-person visitors, guests, and vendors in a professional and personal manner
- Keep Austin Christian Team on track for planning and execution of events for your area
Financial
- Assist in budgeting activities for areas of oversight
- Utilize purchasing processes for approval, ordering, and payment of services and items
- Maintain up to date expense reports

Education & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of two years in a mid to high level leadership role
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office and Church facility.
- Must be able to position self to maintain supplies and equipment on lower shelves and in closets.
- Frequently move supplies and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
- Constantly work in an open office environment
- Ability to work outside in various climates and temperatures
- Moderate exposure to physical risk
- Good physical condition is required
- Ability to drive between campuses
