Env., Health, and Safety Engineer implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineer serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Requirements for Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Engineer
Bachelors Degree in Environmental Health, and Safety; Safety Engineering; Occupational Health and Safety; Industrial Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Safety Management; Industrial Hygiene
Three (3) Year Experience in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Safety in a Manufacturing Environment with working knowledge of OSHA, FDA, DOT, and EPA regulations in a manufacturing environment
Current certification from recognized EHS entities preferred (CIH, CSP, CHMM).
Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS); Injury Compliance; CPR and First Aid Certified; OSHA Standards; Health and Safety Management; Risk Assessment Management and Analysis; Hazardous Waste; Environmental Compliance, Local, State & Federal Regulatory Compliance.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards. EHS Leadership in a Manufacturing Environment. Effective Verbal & Written Communication. Develop and implement effective EH&S policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Keep abreast of changes in applicable laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Investigate and analyze accidents and incidents to recommend corrective actions.
Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Provide safety training and education programs to employees.
Prepare reports on EH&S activities and performance.
Monitor and analyze EH&S metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Maintain records and documentation of EH&S activities.
Advanced knowledge and training related to EPA, OSHA, safety, legal, and regulatory compliance.
Industry based EHS auditing and corrective action coordination
Pharmaceutical or Chemical related EH&S Management system experience, i.e., ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001
Documented continuous improvement programs, i.e., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, PDCA, TMS, etc.
