Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineer serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. The Environmental Services Technician shall provide cleaning services in assigned areas to maintain an orderly, aseptic physical environment.
Unit of Measure:
Maintain orderly, clean and stocked custodial closets and cleaning carts, assuring that doors are kept locked from resident access.
The Environmental Services Technician shall provide Support Services to maintain environmental systems which assist facility in efficient functioning.
Unit of Measure:
* Pull soiled linen and distribute clean linen to resident care areas ensuring par levels are maintained. * Empty trashcan and periodically clean when soiled. * Restock soap and dispensable paper supply dispensers. * Provides cleaning supplies to units as indicated ensuring proper labeling and storage at all times. * Ensure efficiency in handling patients discharge, terminal cleaning, and preparing resident room for occupancy. * Report to supervisor the need for special cleaning or repair furniture. |
The Environmental Services Technician shall demonstrate competency in skills and knowledge pertinent to creating a clean and safe environment.
Unit of Measure:
* Consistently practice within department universal precaution procedures, wearing gloves when handling soiled linen. * Is familiar with cleaning chemical used; uses protective equipment as indicated. * Safely operates equipment such as vacuums and utility carts in a safe manner. |
The Environmental Services Technician checks posted schedule and is present for all shifts on time in proper uniform.
Unit of Measure:
* Present on time for all shifts. * Notifies supervisor in appropriate time for days call out sick. * Does not show pattern of sick days. * Punches in and out using name tag daily. * Arrives in proper uniform clean and in good repair. |
The Environmental Services Technician will work with others and maintain a well-balanced workday keeping busy without constant supervision.

Does not abuse phone privileges and keeps incoming phone calls to a minimum and only as necessary
