    ARM is looking for a self-driven, energetic, experienced Health & Safety Manager who embodies an ownership mentality. In this role, you will collaborate with teams across all divisions and at all levels of the organization to ensure the highest possible degree of safety and regulatory compliance. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, resourceful, well-organized, and cooperative producer and manager that is able to meet goals, resolve problems, and drive a safety-first culture.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform and/or coordinate training of company personnel in accordance with the requirements of PEC Safeland, OSHA-10, OSHA Hazwoper, MSHA Part 46 & 48 and annual refreshers. Track training certifications and records.
    • Perform and/or coordinate training in electrical safety as outlined by the current version of NFPA 70E. Track training certifications and records.
    • Perform and/or coordinate training in American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED. Track training certifications and records.
    • Coordinate and track client-specific training requirements for ARME personnel.
    • Coordinate and lead monthly company-level Safety Committee meetings.
    • Manage ARME presence and grade status on various online contractor management platforms, including but not limited to ISNetworld, PEC, and Avetta. Interface with insurance carriers to ensure timely receipt and management of client required Certificates of Insurance.
    • Provide oversight and assists in the completion of H&S management systems including employee participation, hazard analyses, safe operating procedures, training, risk management, incident reporting, Job Safety Analysis development, and all other key elements.
    • Assist with internal ISO safety training tracking and compliance.
    • Manage updates to OSHA, MSHA, and internal documents pertaining to the enterprise and company level Environmental, Health & Safety Plan(s).
    • Completing, submitting, and maintaining all required reporting to include OSHA, MSHA, and client specific requirements.
    • Serve as ARME Radiation Safety Officer (RSO). Manage the enterprise level Radiation Safety Program pertaining to the training/certification and annual refresher training of employees. Tracking of company owned Troxler Nuclear Density Gauges and well logging sources to ensure proper handling, transportation, and storage of equipment.
    • Coordinate the specification, purchase, and use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and health & safety monitoring equipment.
    • Interface with company and enterprise level leadership in the development of programs and plans to ensure the provision of a safe working environment for ARME employees, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to worker safety, and provide leadership of the company Behavior Based Safety (BBS) programs.
    • Perform office, shop, and field safety assessments.
    • Develop and implement driving safety training program for ARME.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
    • 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role.
    • Strong background with Health & Safety standards including OSHA, MSHA, NEC, NFPA, and ISO.
    • Excellent communication skills: articulate, assertive, and confident.
    • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple, complex projects.
    • Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills.
    • Ambitious and eager to grow.
    • Detail-oriented and thorough.
    • Strong work ethic and self-motivated mentality.
    • Must be able to work independently and collaborate with peers when appropriate.
    • Candidate must be willing and able to travel to company office and shop locations and selected client sites. This may require periodic overnight stays, remote work, and exposure to inclement weather conditions.
