We are currently looking for a passionate and technically savvy individual to join our Freeman Team as an Environmental, Health, & Safety Specialist. An Environmental, Health, & Safety Specialist monitors activities and functions, ensures compliance, and makes recommendations for improvement to ensure adherence to the established policies, procedures and requirements of the EHS functions for the facility.
You will be the owner of the EHS department’s programs, ultimately helping provide a great and safe place to work. You will partner with facilities, interface with vendors, and collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to help realize our vision of empowering employees to champion safety. This role is key to delivering EHS business objectives, including benchmark personnel safety results, adherence to all laws and regulations, and continuing EHS education for this role. The successful individual will build site EHS capability to meet Freeman expectations, lead various action plan focus items, and implement regulatory compliance programs. The individual will provide site single point of contact leadership, including training and qualifying site resources to develop their mastery. The individual selected must come with in-depth technical mastery of EHS systems and work processes and is expected to grow capability in other EHS areas while in the role.
