DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary: Technicians are part of a team that works within the environmental construction industry. Performs routine and frequent manual and heavy labor tasks.

On the job training and safety certifications will be provided for you.

Essential Functions:

• Work in an outdoor construction style environment with basic hand and power tools.
• Clean equipment or areas contaminated with oil or other hazardous, toxic, or caustic materials using detergents and solvents, pressure washers, absorbent materials.
• Assist in the removal of soil, debris and other materials to clean up spill sites
• Perform general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, organizing, cleaning, lawn care, and other assigned tasks.
• Operate or assist in the operation of power tools and heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, track hoes, backhoes.
• Load, hook up, break down vac truck hoses and other equipment.
• Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area
• Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
• Complete all appropriate paperwork
• Work with co-workers as a team to maintain a safe working environment.

Job Requirements

• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and hot, cold, or wet environments.
• Ability to perform work in enclosed (confined) space, under close supervision
• Physically capable of standing, shoveling and performing other types of physical work for long periods of time.
• Ability to work with safely hazardous materials including fumes and airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Ability to safely perform work using high pressure water guns
• Ability to safely handle up to a 6 inch vacuum hose
• Ability to carry industrial hoses (up to 60 lbs.)
• Medically and physically capable of wearing respirator while performing the above listed work.
• Must have reliable personal transportation to and from office
• Must be accessible by phone
• Ability to occasionally work overtime, weekends, and spend time out of area
• Must earn satisfactory results from a background/ employment history investigation and drug screening'
