Equipment Engineer designs, develops, evaluates, and deploys manufacturing equipment, devices, and systems. Develops electrical control devices to convey materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. Being a Equipment Engineer integrates devices and instruments into the systems that measure and control environmental or material variations occurring during the manufacturing process. Ensures equipment and processes maintain throughput, yield, safety, and reliability objectives. Additionally, Equipment Engineer maintains an up-to-date knowledge of equipment vendors' changes, upgrades, and innovations. Prepares preventive maintenance plans and procedures for all equipment and provides technical support during maintenance or turnaround processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Equipment Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Koch Fertilizer, LLC is currently seeking a motivated Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer for our Fertilizer Manufacturing plant located in Enid, OK. The Enid plant manufactures Anhydrous Ammonia, Granulated Urea and Urea Ammonia Nitrate (UAN). As the Reliability Engineer you will drive work with our maintenance teams to maintain reliability throughout the facility.

    This role works a 9/80 schedule

    Koch Fertilizer, Enid is a leading nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing company that focuses on supplying various nitrogen fertilizer products to customers across North America.


    What You Will Do

    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues around rotating equipment
    • Apply economic thinking to lead capital and expense reliability initiatives while collaborating with operations, maintenance, reliability, and project engineering
    • Collaborate with plant leadership to identify and implement reliability improvements specific to rotating equipment to include turbines, compressors, pumps, and other critical high value rotating equipment
    • Develop and oversee (QA/QC) execution of the scope of work for maintenance outages and turnarounds


    Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

    • Maintenance of rotating equipment
    • Experience troubleshooting and solving technical issues


    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to wear appropriate PPE in designated areas
    • Ability to climb up to 150 ft on occasion


    What Will Put You Ahead

    • 4 years of reliability engineering or 10 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
    • Reliability engineering experience in a nitrogen fertilizer production facility
    • Machinery Lubrication Analyst (MLA) Level 2 Certification
    • ISO Category 2 Vibration Analyst Certification
    • Experience with Mechanical Integrity Programs
    • Experience in industrial chemical manufacturing
