Exercise Science Clinical Assist Details

Essential Job Duties:

• Responsible for following the patient care from check-in to check-out. 
• Schedules physical therapy for patients.
• Performs dressing changes.
• Responsible for taking patient vital signs and history.
• Monitors patient's physical therapy progress.
• Schedules MRI's, bone scans, and doppler tests.
• Performs cleaning of storage room.
• Checks expiration date on supplies and keeps patient rooms stocked.
• Triage patient messages.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate/GED.
• Graduate from an accredited school with a Degree in Exercise Science (BA,BS).
• Successful completion of on-the-job training in ambulatory clinic setting.
• Must have the ability to communicate and interact positively with a wide variety of people.
• Must be proficient with the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to document in the EMR appropriately using generally acceptable medical and professional terminology.
• Functional knowledge in word processing/personal computers.

License/Certification:

• Degree in Exercise Science (BA,BS).
• BLS level of CPR certification is required.
