Estimates costs related to layout design, including equipment and materials, labor, etc. and monitors the construction process. Being a Facilities Engineer researches production/processing equipment or fixtures for purchase and gathers data relating to their ability to meet organizational needs. Ensures that established efficiency and safety targets are met. Additionally, Facilities Engineer typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center is in search of a Seasonal Facilities (Landscaping & Maintenance) Assistant. This position joins the facilities staff under the direction of the Facilities Manager to assist in the care of the historic grounds, buildings, public areas, and private facilities.
This is a non-exempt hourly position and staff is expected to work 30-40 hours per week including weekends. This position is paid $15.69 an hour.
Facilities staff works as part of a team with Housekeeping, Company Management, and Production departments. Candidates should be comfortable using power tools, mechanical equipment, able to work on their feet for long periods of time, and capable of lifting 50 lbs.

Experience
Qualified candidates will have some professional experience in facilities or maintenance. They will also be comfortable working with power tools, work in all weather conditions, stand for long periods of time, and be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Must have the ability to work independently.
Preferred candidates will have a valid Driver’s License.
