  • Job Summary

    As a Facilities Engineer at our semiconductor plant, you will play a pivotal role in the management and maintenance of key facility systems, including DI and RO water systems, Wastewater treatment, and building controls. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing operations, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the overall efficiency of our manufacturing facility.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • System Oversight: Manage and maintain DIW systems, RO Systems, Chemical Systems, Wastewater treatment, and building controls to ensure uninterrupted, efficient, and reliable operation.
    • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to identify and rectify system abnormalities or failures promptly.
    • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all systems adhere to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. Coordinate with regulatory agencies as necessary.
    • System Upgrades and Expansion: Collaborate with engineering teams to plan and execute system upgrades, modifications, and expansions to meet evolving facility needs.
    • Data Analysis: Analyze system performance data, trends, and metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings. Implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and logs for system maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities.
    • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for critical system failures, ensuring minimal production disruption.
    • Vendor Relations: Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to source spare parts, equipment, and services as required.
    • Training: Provide training to facilities staff on the safe and efficient operation of relevant systems and equipment.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience. 
    • Experience in both facilities management and construction/ design build is a plus. 
    • Proven experience in facilities engineering, particularly in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
    • Construction project management experience is a plus.

    Skills & Other Requirements

    • In-depth knowledge of DIW systems, RO Systems, Chemical Systems, Wastewater treatment, and building controls.
    • Strong familiarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance, and semiconductor industry standards.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
    • Excellent communication and project management skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

    Working Conditions

    • The general work environment is typical of any industrial semiconductor plant operation
    • Support a 24/7 manufacturing site
    • Work primarily within a semiconductor manufacturing facility, which may include cleanrooms, pipe spaces, offices, and other support spaces both indoors and outside.

     

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to bend, reach, twist, turn and climb normally associated with construction work
    • Ability to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift 
    • Ability to perform activities that include climbing vertical ladders, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and crawling
    • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment per semi-conductor protocol/requirements

    Safety Requirements

    All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards.  This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.

    Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently.  They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.
