    Guided by the Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is dedicated to upholding the compliance of all facility locations with the regulations set by the Washington State Department of Health. Through the implementation of a well-structured program encompassing preventive, corrective, and repair maintenance, the technician preserves the cleanliness, safety, control, comfort, and orderliness of the facilities. This comprehensive approach includes the meticulous upkeep of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and lighting, as well as the meticulous management of grounds, security, and aesthetics. The ultimate objective is to consistently uphold a superior standard of maintenance across all locations, ensuring they are not only pristine and secure but also fully aligned with current regulatory standards.

    At Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, we carefully establish salary ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account, including education, certifications, knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.

    Pay Range:$17.67/hr - $27.39/hr

    Starting Pay Range for this Position: $17.67/hr - $22.53/hr


    · Mileage Reimbursement: $0.67 per mile, for eligible positions.

    · Vacation: Accrual of hours each pay period based on hours worked.

    · Wellness Days: After the 90-day introductory period, eligible employees can convert up to two sick days into wellness days.

    · Annual "Yay Day": Full-time employees receive 1 paid day off every January to volunteer in the community.

    · Sick Time: Earned on an accrual basis, with a 90-day hold for new hires (usable after 90 days)

    · Paid Holidays: Ten recognized holidays with no waiting period for new hires.

    · Health Benefits: Opt-in for Low Deductible Health Benefits, Vision, and Dental starting the first month following your start date.

    · Health Benefit Options: Medical, Dental, Vision, Supplemental Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, GlobeLife Voluntary Benefits, and Life Flight.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
    2. Two years of general maintenance experience required.
    3. Knowledgeable in construction, building maintenance, and ground maintenance, along with adept repair skills.
    4. Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft software and familiarity with texting and app software.
    5. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
    6. Available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of after-hours and on-call.
    7. This position is designated as safety-sensitive and will require pre-employment drug testing, which includes cannabis testing in WA State.

    PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Trade school certificate in one or more building-related skills preferred.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Troubleshoots and repairs a wide array of facility equipment including HVAC, office, patient-related equipment, grounds, electrical, and structural equipment.
    2. Coordinates and collaborates with volunteers for indoor and outdoor maintenance and repairs.
    3. Monitors space management and facilitates moving of offices and furniture, including workstations (IT) at the direction and periodic support of the Facilities Supervisor.
    4. Allocate appropriate time for each task based on complexity and scope. Optimize the use of time to minimize downtime and disruptions to ongoing operations.
    5. Receive and review incoming work orders, assessing the urgency and impact of each task on facility operations. Prioritize tasks based on safety concerns, impact on production, and potential for equipment downtime.
    6. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities seamlessly to ensure efficient utilization of time and resources.
    7. Uses good judgment in handling situations not covered by verbal or written instruction.
    8. Follows preventive maintenance schedule for facility equipment, including HVAC, office, grounds, electrical, and structural equipment via TELS under the oversight of the Facilities Supervisor.
    9. Performs occasional grounds keeping duties and snow removal at all locations, including the use of snow blowers and shovels.
    10. Proficiency in communicating both within the organization and externally to collaborate seamlessly with mechanical and construction contractors as well as vendors.
    11. Performs occasional custodial/janitorial duties.
    12. Performs painting and patching of walls and ceilings.
    13. Complies with hazardous waste disposal regulations, necessitating the use of appropriate personal protective equipment during the execution of specific duties.
    14. Reports all pertinent information regarding equipment, system, and safety issues to the supervisor.
    15. Always maintain a safe work environment.
    16. Organizes and maintains maintenance supplies and inventory.
    17. Perform other duties as assigned.

    AGENCY REQUIREMENTS

    1. Demonstrate support and adherence to the agency’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
    2. Participate in community Education and Outreach to raise awareness of agency-provided programs including but not limited to hospice care, advanced care planning, and bereavement.
    3. Responsible for knowledge and compliance with agency policies, procedures, and practices.
    4. Responsible for maintaining and protecting patient and agency information in a confidential manner. Practice appropriate HIPAA confidentiality by accessing patient-related information on a “need to know” basis only.
    5. Reliable personal transportation, and current and valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance.
    6. Satisfaction with state and agency requirements for Tuberculin testing
    7. Hepatitis B immunization series, proof of series, or signed declination.
    8. Proof of applicable Vaccination(s) on file or approved accommodation/declination as appropriate on file.
    9. Must pass a criminal background screening and pre-employment drug screening.
    10. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (see attached physical requirements and environmental conditions).
    11. Complete agency and departmental orientation and training program(s).
    12. Complete all continued learning, education, policy reviews, and required training by their respective deadlines.
    13. Maintain licensure(s) and certification(s) required for the position.
    14. Available to work as assigned/scheduled.
