Summary:
Member of the Engineering and Reliability Team. Provide the engineering department with support for diagnosis and management of facilities related work including annual maintenance jobs and other plant related operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist with planning and scheduling of annual infrastructure related maintenance jobs such as paving, roofing, railroad repairs, manholes, building repairs, fencing, and asbestos abatement.
· Coordinate and supervise outside contractors performing the work.
· Ensure effective shift-to-shift communications for safety, impact on mill operations and the job status.
· Work with vendors and enter requisitions for supplies and repair items.
· Respond to emergency situations involving infrastructure failures and underground utilities.
· Research drawing database for planning and decision making on issues or projects.
· Monitor and respond to mill and facility operational issues. Work with all other departments to support continuous operation with minimal interruptions.
· Assist and coordinate with development and execution of capital projects associated with facility improvements.
· Identify and recommend improvement projects; help prioritize work.
· Assist with management of asset disposals.
· Follow Reliability and Maintenance roles and responsibilities and work scheduling process.
· Evaluate PM scheduling to prevent, minimize failures or downtime.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Industrial experience, supervisory experience desirable
· Conceptual Thinking.
· Problem solving and mechanical assessment abilities.
· Project Management.
· Leadership training and/or experience.
· Strong communications skills and teamwork.
· Environmental work knowledge preferred, but not necessary.
· Be able to act decisively and independently when circumstances warrant it.
