Facility Maintenance Technician jobs in Cheyenne, WY
The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. In addition, Facility Maintenance Technician assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as a Facility Maintenance Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. Responsibilities:- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, and processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Disassemble/Reassemble facility equipment to examine or repair
- Fabricate metal pieces and replace gaskets as needed
- Determine cause of malfunctioning systems and perform repair or replacement of defective component(s)
- Monitor equipment to ensure all repairs and testing are completed to insure proper operation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Hydraulic system repair experience
- Industrial experience required
- Heavy equipment repair experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed and On-call
- Valid Drivers’ License
- Ability to use a cutting rig
- Ability to successfully pass mechanical aptitude testing
- Proficient with computers and systems
- Knowledge of the industry’s latest technology or having experience working with electronics
