Unite Private Networks (UPN) is searching for a dynamic and experienced Construction Technician / Field Service Engineer to work within our Rockford, IL market.
The Construction Technician / Field Service Engineer will oversee the construction activities that take place on the worksite and will be primarily responsible for the supervision of construction contractors in the field.
The CT / FSE will plan, implement, and oversee construction efforts at several work sites within their designated market.
The CT / FSE will assist in the day-to-day activities of the network, including but not limited to equipment installation, circuit / node turn-up & testing, customer premise equipment, (Ethernet Network Interface Devices, Routers, Data Switches, premise Firewalls, IAD’s, Hosted phones, ONT’s, preventive maintenance, and testing / troubleshooting.
The Construction Technician / Field Service Engineer will report on field progress to the Construction Manager and / or Project Manager to ensure all projects are completed within the parameters set forth in the estimated timeline.
The CT / FSE will interact with internal and external customers, service technicians, technical support personnel and other telecom professionals.
