Summary/Objective
You will be responsible for overseeing the field aspects of commercial and residential, new and retrofit equipment projects including labor and material acquisition, and project management. You will liaise daily between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs.
Supervise, coach, and mentor installation teams on new installation practices, retrofitting, and startup of residential and commercial HVAC equipment and accessories. Oversees daily work and ensures adequate staffing to meet customer needs, assists crews with unusual or difficult assignments. Train and coach employees to ensure that safety rules and practices are followed. Conduct quality-control checks on completed work. When necessitated, due to staffing and customer needs, will contribute to project labor to help meet critical schedule commitments when needed.
Essential Functions
Coordinating and supervising installation field labor and project quality.
- Meet with project sales managers on the commencement of projects to become familiar with project details.
- Review and monitor upcoming work to be performed with the project sales manager in order to support and coordinate schedules and assignments of crews to maximize productivity while meeting customer’s needs.
- Referencing material list, verify all equipment and materials are staged and ready, to ensure all materials have been procured prior to job commencement.
- Conducts regular job site visits and meetings with installation teams ensuring installation quality, timely delivery of project, crew efficiencies, and cohesiveness achieving desirable project outcomes.
- Conducts quality-control reviews and assessments of completed work to ensure work has been performed in accordance with company practices, processes, and quality workmanship.
- Trains and ensures employees are adhering to proper technical aspects, company processes and procedures, safety rules, and practices.
- Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and properly accounted for.
- Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
- Ensures company vehicles are properly stocked with standard installation materials and coordinates ordering/replenishment as needed. When needed, completes material and tool requisition forms and other related administrative activities.
- Demonstrates leadership to the field staff in the areas of customer focus and customer service; quality and efficient installation practices following company policies, procedures, and processes.
- Serves as a resource to the project sales staff on technical issues regarding products and installation standards.
- Performs similar/other duties as needed or assigned.
- Maintaining a liaison with product representatives and local suppliers to stay abreast of product lines, promotions, trends, etc.

- Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and blueprints as well as troubleshooting problems with electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems on HVAC equipment.
- Proficient and able to manage or perform proper startup of equipment, balance airflow, and properly align belts and pulleys on all systems with no supervision.
- Must possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the installation of equipment, duct, piping, and associated accessories. Be able to review and comprehend manufacturers' installation manuals to ensure proper equipment application.
Supervisory Responsibility
The Field Foreman position has the supervisory responsibilities of the installation teams assigned to the commercial and residential projects division.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, with general workdays being Monday through Friday with hours of work being set as position needs require with early morning, occasional evening, and weekend work being required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position may require occasional travel. When needed, travel would be within the Southern Delmarva area, rarely may be overnight.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in a drug-free workplace.
- Current driver’s license.
- Proficient with Windows-based software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to learn and fully utilize Key 2 Act Service Management software for account management needs.
