wireline field engineer
Workover Solutions, Inc.’s Imperial, PA, office seeks a Wireline Field Engineer to travel to field locations to coordinate teams of operators performing wireline logging and explosive operations as well as prepare and dispatch equipment. Will also supervise operating crews and be responsible for the training and development of personnel assigned to his/her cell and for the maintenance status of his/her assigned equipment.
Also responsible for: (i) deploying a wide variety of wireline services from the WOS wireline portfolio at the wellsite, in line with WOS and Customers expectations; (ii) acquiring and delivering high quality data from WOS services to our clients to meet their data acquisition objectives; and (iii) advising Customer Representative with the logging operations; basic interpretation of logging data, troubleshooting and wellsite analysis.
Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in a related wireline position.
Must also have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) Pressure Control Competency; (ii) perforating/explosives operations; (iii) cement bond logging, casing integrity logging, operate downhole cameras, leak detection logging; (iv) wireline plug and abandon operations as well as pipe recovery operations; (v) service delivery management; and (vi) downhole tools and surface equipment maintenance and repair. Experience can be concurrent. Must be able to stand for long periods of time as well as lift and carry up to 35lbs. Must also be comfortable around large equipment and able to safely operate motor vehicles.
Must also be able and willing to travel domestically to various unanticipated employer, client, and other locations up to 75%. During commissioning time, must also be available to be on-call after office working hours and during weekends.
