    We are currently in the process of implementing Regent as Financial Aid software to which you will play an instrumental role. We also want to make our online programs Aid eligible in the future. You will need to embrace change and have strong collaboration skills in order to be successful in this role.

    The position is based at Hult International Business School’s campus in Cambridge, MA.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Managing team of 1-2 coworkers
    • Coordinating the awarding and administration of federal financial aid programs in accordance with established federal, state and institutional regulations, for the roughly 200 Title IV eligible Hult students.
    • Leading all communication related to financial aid with university officials, as needed
    • Providing customer service and counseling to students, parents, and the campus community in person, on the phone, and via email regarding all aspects of the financial aid process
    • Performing all aspects of the awarding process, including federal verification, conflict resolution, loan processing, appeal review, award recalculations, satisfactory academic progress calculations, and C-code and ISIR reject resolution
    • Managing private loan process, including certification, award eligibility determination and reconciliation
    • Maintaining current knowledge of applicable state, federal, and local laws/regulations; researching new trends and advances in the profession; reading professional literature; attending meetings, workshops, and training sessions
    • Participate with Central Team to complete required reporting, including IPEDS, regulatory and accreditation boards
    • Performing Refund to Title IV (R2T4) calculations for official and unofficial withdrawals
    • Acting as a liaison between the Financial Aid Office and the enrollment team
    • Managing Veteran’s Affairs funding
    • Identifying areas of weakness and initiating corrective action, including developing new processes, policies and procedures
    • Interpreting legislative and regulatory changes to keep financial aid policies, processes and procedures up-to-date.
    • Performing the NSLDS enrollment updating process
    • Leading, developing and participating in events including, but not limited to, financial literacy sessions, loan exit counseling, graduation and orientation and recruitment events.
    • Providing support to finance department staff for accounts receivable management.
    • Managing annual Title IV audit process
    • Other duties as assigned

    Professional Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years of financial aid awarding experience required
    • Thorough understanding of federal financial aid and cash management regulations
    • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and responsibilities in a fast paced, high-pressure environment, while maintaining composure and discretion
    • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment independently
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including the capacity to work cooperatively with a wide range of individuals
