Job Description:

Manage the efficient and profitable operation of the Service and Parts Departments.

Essential Duties:

• Forecasting goals and objectives for the departments.
• Hires, trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of the service and parts department employees.
• Manage employee schedules and pay plans.
• Maintain service customer pay and internal gross profit growth.
• Maintain technician proficiency.
• Works with department managers to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Maintains reporting systems required by general management and the manufacturer.
• Provide and maintain a safe workplace and environment for employees and customers.
• Creates dealership service pricing policies for approval by the general manager.
• Works directly with customers and warranty clerks to administer warranty claims, as well as understanding and applying warranty guidelines.
• Administers warranty claims, reviews warranty policy adjustments, understands and applies warranty guidelines, ensures correct processing of claims, and communicates warranty information and clarifications to customers.
• Works with managers and departmental directors to find ways to improve the overall profitability of the dealership.
• Serves as liaison with factory representatives.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase service and parts revenue and profitability.
• Monitor and analyze department performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and vendors.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage and maintain proper staff levels to benchmark metrics.
• Manage store controllable expense elements.
• Analyzing the business and developing action plans to improve performance.
• Setting and achieving targeted goals.
• Drives business by example with a high degree of involvement in day to day process.
• Regularly coaches and trains associates.
• Ensures a great customer experience and calmly assists and defuses customer complaints in order to maintain customer loyalty.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized service shop, office and parts retail area.
• Responsible for all OSHA and company mandated safety requirements.
• Fiscally responsible for service and parts inventories, cash handling and assets of the company.
• Ensure high quality of work minimizing repeat repair attempts.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in the automotive field as a Fixed Operations/Service Director Role
• Experienced in working with CDK DMS
• Dealership Experience
• Experience working with warranty schedules and internal reconditioning process
• Valid and Current Drivers License

Compensation:

• Competitive Commissionable Pay Plan driven by growth and process structure
• Salary Range $130K-$150K
