Fixed Income Analyst conducts analysis on debt or fixed income securities in order to make recommendations regarding investment strategy. Stays abreast of trends and news, such as competitive position and financial stability of organizations, in order to identify potential risks. Being a Fixed Income Analyst requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.   • The Fixed Income Analyst - ALM supports the Fixed Income Strategies team by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to produce and develop Asset/Liability Management Analyses for fixed income clients.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist senior team members in analyzing financial statements, interest rates, liquidity, and credit risk.
    • Process monthly and quarterly analyses of clients' investment portfolios/balance sheets and various risk measurements using Excel-based and other complex financial models.
    • Interact daily with senior team members and sales representatives.
    • Interact with clients to obtain data necessary to prepare analyses.
    • Manage special project demands of senior team members.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Solid math and analytical skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to quickly learn new software programs.
    • Strong work ethic.
    • Must be able to understand and interpret financial data.
    • Must be able to communicate their findings to their clients clearly and precisely.
    • Be able to think critically and make sound investment decisions.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum required: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business.
    • Minimum required: 0-2 years of related experience required.

    LICENSES AND CREDENTIALS

    • Minimum required: SIE, FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 or must be obtained within 6 months.

    SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
