Floor Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. About the Position
Under supervision, this position will assist with various assembly responsibilities, primarily utilizing the winding machine, to fabricate products for customers and design engineers.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Specific job training (trade school or military) preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to operate: Winding machine, bobbin, welding equipment, hand tools, and wire terminating or handling equipment. Other equipment may be associated with the manufacture of the company's products. Must have good manual dexterity and good visual acuity. Must be able to work using a microscope or magnifying lens on miniature parts.
