Sales Account Manager, Library / HEd EdTech (US Central)
The Talent Search Group at PiP is working with the world-leader in scientific research and education video resources for libraries and Higher Education. We are seeking a Sales Account Manager (US Central) to drive new business and support existing customer relationships within the territory's library community. This role requires a strategic approach to sales and navigating a complex and exciting higher education landscape.
Territory includes Midwest and Central US (excluding Texas) and candidates must live in the territory. Travel is required. Base salary is $90-100K plus bonus.
ResponsibilitiesAccount-Based Marketing: Conduct in-depth research on the higher education market within your region to identify opportunities with libraries and faculty that align with our offering.
Sales Cycle: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Identify and prioritize potential clients within the higher education sector, including colleges and universities.
Business Development: Partner with sales development reps and marketing to generate and nurture leads within your territory.
Solution-Based Selling: Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including librarians, professors, administrators, and department chairs. Consult with prospects to understand their specific challenges and objectives and demonstrate how our solution can address their unique needs.
Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of products, features, and benefits, as well as how they align with the needs of higher education institutions.
Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of our learning tool.
Customer Success: Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure a smooth onboarding process and ongoing support for clients.
Sales Targets: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and quotas.
Market Feedback: Provide valuable market feedback to the product development team to help enhance the product based on customer needs.
RequirementsBachelor's degree; Master's degree idealProven success in B2B sales, preferably in Higher Ed technologyStrong understanding of the Higher Ed landscape, industry, challenges, and opportunitiesExcellent communication, presentation and negotiation skillsSelf-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently.CRM (Salesforce, Hubspot) software experience is a plus.
