Position Purpose
Reporting to the Director of the Undergraduate Deans Office, the Associate Director partners with the Director in the management of all departmental programs and services. Through direct student advising and the supervision of the upper-class deans, the Associate Director supports undergraduate students’ intellectual and personal growth consistent with the mission of the College and facilitates the consistent, equitable administration of College policies and procedures.

- Proven record of effectiveness in student advising and development of programs that address the needs of students from underrepresented backgrounds and promote student success.
- Exceptional organizational skills, problem-solving, proficiency in teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, and strong communication to multiple audiences.
- Capacity to foster strong and effective relationships with students, faculty, staff, families, and campus partners.
- Solid foundation in student developmental theory and its application to professional practice in student affairs.
- Commitment to DEI work in higher education.
- Experience with on-call responsibilities and student crisis management.
- Master’s Degree with 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in undergraduate academic support services, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in Student Affairs strongly preferred.
- Experience working in the context of a highly selective liberal arts institution
