Forest Aide gathers and analyzes data regarding overall condition of forest tracts. May provide supervision to seasonal workers. Being a Forest Aide educates visitors on forest policies and regulations. Requires a high school diploma with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Forest Aide has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be capable of sorting lumber good from bad to place into stacks at the roundtable according to length, width and thickness. This is actually part of a grading process to prevent bad boards from getting into the good bundles going to our customers.
