Foundation Director directs the execution of the vision, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and grantmaking operations that support the overall objectives of a foundation. Defines the goals and tactics for fundraising campaigns and program initiatives. Being a Foundation Director represents the foundation to the public and media to communicate its mission, values, and accomplishments. Maintains positive relationships with foundation stakeholders, including the board of directors, grantees, community leaders, donors, and prospective donors. Additionally, Foundation Director oversees grantmaking operations, including developing grant guidelines, reviewing grant applications, and managing the grant evaluation process. Manages foundation programs and initiatives that align with the foundation's mission and values. Implements systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the foundation's grantmaking and programs. Ensures all foundation activities comply with applicable laws, reporting requirements, and regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Foundation Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Our Mission
The Forward Foundation was founded to increase the participation of working-age people (those under the age of 50) in their Granite State communities through public policy research, education, and leadership growth. Working-age people are vastly underrepresented as leaders in local elected offices, community organizations, and state government in New Hampshire. Overview of Role
The Forward Foundation is seeking applicants for a full-time Education and Coalition Manager to lead the organization’s work to raise the voices of Granite Staters of diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate will share the mission of The Forward Foundation in spotlighting important information in civic, democratic, and voter education. This person should have experience working with partner organizations, organizing training programs and public events, and community education. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills and be able to develop and maintain an environment of trust and inclusion. This position reports to the Program Director.

Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range between $55,000 - $65,000 per year or commensurate with experience. The Forward Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating across New Hampshire and operates under a resource sharing agreement with our 501(c)4 organization, 603 Forward.
All employees work remotely from home offices and participate in occasional team collaboration opportunities in Concord or Manchester. The Forward Foundation maintains a focus on equity and inclusion by encouraging staff to seek out opportunities to meet community members where they are individually or in group settings through strategic travel to various regions of New Hampshire.
Half of this position is geographically focused in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire in and around the Great Bay Estuary (Dover, NH), and periodic organizing of and participation at in-person meetings in this region will be expected.
