The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Stationary Engineer for the Mabley Developmental Center located in Dixon, Illinois to receive day-to-day guidance and assignments form the Center Director and Chief Stationary Engineer. Installs, maintains, repairs and monitors for proper operations the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) operational systems, boilers, furnaces, high pressure coal, gas or oil fired boilers and auxiliaries, stokers, blowers, flow meters, pumps, fans, belts, filters, compressors, generators, turbines, diesel engines, building automation systems, humidifiers, refrigeration (including Chlorofluorocarbon systems), electrical and computerized comfort control systems, ventilating and air handling unit temperature control systems, etc. Makes rounds of buildings of the center, boiler, and mechanical rooms at regular intervals. Serves on an on-call basis to respond to emergencies at the center for maintenance concerns or issues that arise. Travels in the performance of job duties.
