Golf Greenskeeper performs various golf course maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, and edging. Lays sod, plants trees, and seeds turf. Being a Golf Greenskeeper repairs ball marks on greens, tees and fairway divots. Maintains bunkers and sand traps, changes holes, and performs other general maintenance activities. Additionally, Golf Greenskeeper may be responsible for the upkeep and fueling of golf course maintenance equipment. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Golf Greenskeeper works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Fun environment providing a playing field for golfers of the world. Come be a part of an exciting time at Azalea Sands Golf Club in North Myrtle Beach. Part time hours are available that start at 5:30am-10:30am. Must love the outdoors and have basic skill to be able to operate a wide variety of equipment.
Duties:
- Have Fun
- Mow and maintain lawns using power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and edgers
- Maintain gardens by planting, weeding, and pruning
- Install and maintain hardscape features such as walkways, patios, and retaining walls
- Irrigate lawns and gardens to ensure proper hydration
- Perform tree care tasks such as pruning and trimming
- Clear snow from sidewalks and driveways during winter months
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques and equipment operation
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods of time, and working in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in work performed
