POSITION SUMMARY With oversight and direction from the Director of Graduate Medical Education, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the administrative duties of the Emergency Medicine Residency training program. The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies and hospital policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Undergraduate Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or Business Administration or related field preferred (the equivalent of total relevant work experience will be considered). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to organize information. Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality. Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to organize and prioritize several activities simultaneously Considerable mental effort, ability to draft and prepare minutes, correspondence and reports. WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION Office setting. Safe working environment, possibility of irregular work hours upon request. Perhaps some discomfort due to noise and crowded conditions.
