Job DescriptionThis position requires extensive knowledge of the EMS profession and, in particular, the requirements pertaining to EMS Performance Improvement and Education. This individual will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the development and review of all medical protocols.
- Analysis of EMS Patient Care Reports (PCRs) to determine compliance with approved protocols and procedures.
- Providing feedback to the EMS practitioners and the EMS Director on compliance with the approved protocols and identifying both positive and negative trends in patient care. This advice should be based on the National EMS Quality Initiative developed by the National Association of State EMS Officials.
- Conduct initial education classes at the level of:
- EMR
- EMT
- AEMT
Job Requirements- Current Level II or Level III Georgia EMS Instructor License
- Current Georgia Paramedic or Registered Nurse License (If an RN, then a minimum of an EMT License)
- Basic Life Support Instructor
- Advanced Life Support Instructor
- Associate degree from an accredited college
