Groundskeeper, Sr. cuts and maintains lawns and grass. Rakes leaves and cares for plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Being a Groundskeeper, Sr. determines the appropriate plants or shrubs for walkways or garden areas. Provides grounds maintenance in all seasons. Additionally, Groundskeeper, Sr. is responsible for snow and dirt removal. Keeps the grounds and environment of a facility in a clean, attractive, orderly, safe, and healthy condition. Operates light trucks and assorted power equipment. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening and grounds equipment. May require horticultural training. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Groundskeeper, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Full-Time Year Round position. Candidate must be able to work in any type of weather conditions and have reliable transportation during snow events. Lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis is required. This is a labor position with a varying schedule during the Winter. Typical hours will be 6:30a-2:30p weekdays and 6a-10a both weekend mornings. Call-backs for snow removal will be scheduled in advance each month and given to the associate. A day off during the week will be scheduled to the most benefit of the associate and management. During snow events, the associate will be required to work as dictated by the Golf Course Superintendent. June - October is weather dependent and will have a schedule not reliant upon the weather. Start times will vary with daylight and there is potential for overtime year round. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
