Groundskeeper, Sr. jobs in New Jersey
Groundskeeper, Sr. cuts and maintains lawns and grass. Rakes leaves and cares for plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Being a Groundskeeper, Sr. determines the appropriate plants or shrubs for walkways or garden areas. Provides grounds maintenance in all seasons. Additionally, Groundskeeper, Sr. is responsible for snow and dirt removal. Keeps the grounds and environment of a facility in a clean, attractive, orderly, safe, and healthy condition. Operates light trucks and assorted power equipment. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening and grounds equipment. May require horticultural training. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Groundskeeper, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Groundskeeper, Sr. typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

We are looking for a groundskeeper:
- Job Title: Groundskeeper
- Reports To: Facilities Supervisor
Responsibility:
- Pick up the trash
- Routine pressure and power washing of exterior buildings, sidewalks, parking lot, etc.
- Maintain lawn and shrubbery (planting, trimming, removing as necessary)
- Prepare outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing, covering/securing items, etc.
- Completes snow removal tasks such as shoveling sidewalks, steps, and doorways as needed during winter months
- Report any such issues with irrigation, safety concerns, etc.
- Waste removal
- Frequently supporting to move pallets and inventory as needed
- Minor preventative maintenance as assigned
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Facility sweeping
- Take pictures of before and after.
- Help enforce the parking.
- Weed removal.
- Occasional use of lawn mover/lawnmowing equipment.
Schedule:
- 8-10 hours a week
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
Grounds maintenance experience preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
