Head Cataloging Librarian develops cataloging policies and procedures and implements improvement. Manages staff and student assistants in all formats cataloging following updated workflows. Being a Head Cataloging Librarian creates metadata schema to ensure efficient workflow for metadata projects. Typically requires a master's degree. Additionally, Head Cataloging Librarian typically reports to top management. The Head Cataloging Librarian manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Cataloging Librarian typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Assist the Head Teacher and Teacher to provide comprehensive services to children/families. Provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for children (age 0-3) while they are in the Early Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips). To abide by the Head Start of Lane County Code of Conduct and Ethics Statement written within the employee handbook. Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state and or agency policies and procedures.
