    POSITION SUMMARY
    This position coordinates library and digital literacy for the library thorough in-person and online sessions as well as developing tutorials as necessary. This involves maintaining online resources and working with faculty on OER development.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Coordinate library information literacy instruction including class instruction, virtual instruction, and tutorials. Creates student-centered programming to ensure Nashville State graduates digitally literate students. Assist users with reference and research questions through the resources of library. Plan and conduct library orientation sessions both in-person and on Zoom. Assesses library services and instruction. Serve as an embedded librarian for web courses. Administer LibGuides and other library technologies. Work with faculty to incorporate research assignments in their courses. Designs library instructional resources using a variety of formats. Assist in planning of library initiatives. Works with faculty to incorporate OERs into their courses.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Master’s degree in library science from an ALA accredited program.

    Strong computer skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Familiarity with Libguides and other library-centered software.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    Broad knowledge of library and educational technologies. Knowledge of accessibility principles and universal design. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems. Desire2Learn preferred. Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with students, faculty, staff, and administration. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to give and accept supervision. Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with a diverse group of individuals, both internal and external. Ability to work some nights and weekends, as well as virtual hours.

    Rate of Pay: $46,861 - $58,576 depending on experience.
