Head Cataloging Librarian develops cataloging policies and procedures and implements improvement. Manages staff and student assistants in all formats cataloging following updated workflows. Being a Head Cataloging Librarian creates metadata schema to ensure efficient workflow for metadata projects. Typically requires a master's degree. Additionally, Head Cataloging Librarian typically reports to top management. The Head Cataloging Librarian manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Cataloging Librarian typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • SCHEDULE:

    Weekdays 7:30am to 3:30pm, with paid holidays including the Thanksgiving, December, February and April school breaks, plus additional accumulated paid leave.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or GED, plus either an Infant & Toddler Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent formal education in the development of young children.
    • Requires at least one year of specific training and/or experience with children under age three in a group setting.
    • Basic computer skills required.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, learning environment for up to eight children under the age of 18 months old, working alongside two other classroom team members.

    2. Advance physical and intellectual competence: Provide activities and opportunities that promote physical development and encourage communication, curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children.

    3. Support social and emotional development and provide positive guidance through attachment, initiative, self-regulation and positive guidance.

    4. Establish positive and engaging relationships with families of enrolled children.
