HEAD CUSTODIAN

John C. Milanesi Elementary School

Position available to start on or about July 1, 2024.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise assigned staff.

2. Minimum of one year of experience in facilities management, recommended.

3. High School Diploma or equivalent.

4. Ability to organize and direct personnel, including determining workloads, skills requirements, and directing employee job assignments.

5. Extensive knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.

6. Ability to train staff in the performance of manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength.

7. Ability to prioritize job responsibilities given time constrains.

8. Fundamental knowledge of building heating and ventilating equipment.

9. Must possess a low-pressure black seal boiler’s license.

10. Must have the ability to interpret blueprints.

11. Must possess a valid NJ driver’s license.

12. Required Criminal History Background Check, and proof of US Citizenship or legal resident status.

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES AND OPERATIONS

JOB GOAL: To maintain the physical school facilities in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety, so that full educational use of them may be made at all times.

SALARY: In accordance with the BRSSA Negotiated Agreement
