JOB SUMMARY:  

The Occupational Health Manager coordinates appropriate reporting requirements for company accounts and maintains injury reports, worker’s compensation cases, and oversight of team handling pertinent case load. Oversees coders for outpatient clinics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. 1. Participate as an integral team member, collaborating with various departments and colleagues, including Safety Committee, Infectious Control, Education, Population Health, and Preventative Services, to advocate for employee health and safety.
   2. In all aspects, serve as a role model for the values and mission of the organization and promotion of integration of services with a culture of safety, wellness and injury prevention.
   3. Implements and evaluates numerous health and safety services and collaborates with management in developing objectives for the employee health and occupational health services compatible with the company's corporate goals and objectives.
   4. Manages department and oversight of employees in the delivery of healthcare consistent with the standards of practice and organization policy.
   5. Authorizes, reviews and completes all injury reports and obtains confirmation number and follow through of case until completion.
   6. Maintains appropriate records of health in EHR database & maintains appropriate reporting requirements.
   7. Arranges for post exposure follow-up & appropriate prophylaxis.
   8. Provides information for review to physician to determine a worker's fitness for duty.
   9. Responsible for understanding financial impact analysis of department.
   10. Managing departmental budgets, reviewing financial reports, and determining trend analysis.
   11. Understand and conform to all local, state and national regulatory/licensure/accreditation requirements pertaining to Employee Health/Occupational Health
   12. Oversee outpatient float coders and help as needed with coding visits.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:  Higher Education degree in management or health care related field. CPC certification required or must be attained within 6 months of hire.

Experience:  2 years of experience preferred. Certificate or experience in clinical informatics desirable.

Equipment/Technology: Must be able to use Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point.

Language/Communication:  Must have the sensitivity, maturity, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Performance: Full time position requiring some weekends and holidays.
