Head Nurse - Occupational Health directs nursing service activities for occupational health services. Develops and conducts training programs to promote employee safety in the workplace. Being a Head Nurse - Occupational Health conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any health or safety hazards. Maintains records, investigates accidents and injuries, prepares appropriate reports for OSHA, and ensures compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Additionally, Head Nurse - Occupational Health coordinates the procurement, review, and project management of contracts and service agreements with outside vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Occupational Health manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Occupational Health typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Position Overview:
As the Medical Assistant on our team, you will focus on Occupational Medicine, and perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties including but not limited to collecting medical histories, assessing work injuries, pre-employment assessments, administering employees' drug test and vaccines, and drawing blood for required lab work. You’ll also communicate with both patient and employers handling and updating paperwork accordingly.
Our current need is a full-time opportunity at our Midway campus, however we would ask that this candidate be flexible to pick up shifts at any/all of our MOH Campuses Blaine, Shakopee and Eagan). We strongly prefer Medical Assistants that are certified with the AAMA. Flexibility to travel to other MOH campuses is required. Current schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm (subject to change)
